For the 2016 model year, McLaren is adding a bootful of new standard equipment to its Super Series lineup. The British supercar manufacturer claims the 2016 McLaren 650S gains an additional $22,500 in standard features, even though its list price only rises slightly by $4,000.
The 2016 McLaren 650S Coupe and Spider receive additional carbon-fiber trimmings at no extra cost, with the front splitter, side skirts, air-intakes, the rear bumper, and mirror caps all made from the lightweight material. Move to the inside, and the interior carbon fiber trim package is now standard as well.
McLaren introduced new option packages for 2016 as well. The Enhanced Technology Package adds front vehicle lifter for those pesky speed bumps, power-adjustable seats and steering column, premium Meridian sound system, parking sensors, backup camera, and car cover. The package stickers for $9,950, a price which McLaren claims is $6,000.
